This year will see the awarding of the 3rd Audiovisual MAC Prizes, created with the aim of incentivising production, quality and innovation in the audiovisual sector.
The Audiovisual MAC Prizes are awarded to programme projects for local television and designed to help new companies, new creators and small companies.Bolder proposals from more consolidated companies can also compete. This year there are three categories: Audiovisual MAC New Format Prize, Audiovisual MAC Serialised Project Prize, and Audiovisual MAC Multiplatform Project Prize.
From among all the audiovisual projects registered at the Audiovisual MAC, the jury will select between 10 and 12 to participate in the pitching sessions. From these same selected projects the winners will be chosen of the MAC Prizes in the New Format, Serialised Project and Multiplatform categories.
Moreover, and to reward new contributions of technology applied to the audiovisual, projects can be presented for the Audiovisual MAC Technology Prize, sponsored by Abertis. The prize covers interactive projects, animation, creative application in the field of research, the design of new formats, forms of contents distribution or of viewing of audiovisual products.
The prize awards ceremony will take place on 29 May in Granollers during the Audiovisual MAC closing event.
